Sortilège is not a linear story, but a succession of strong, aesthetic images, entirely at the service of circus.

The primary inspiration was born from the site and the artists themselves: the vastness of the forest, the rock wall that overlooks the amphitheater, and the human and technical richness of the performers.

Very quickly, the desire to explore a more mysterious dramaturgy led me to Macbeth and its three witches — to the question of prophecy and its influence on destiny. This Shakespearean reference gradually transformed into a free reinterpretation, translated into the circus language, leaving room for each person’s imagination.

Each scene is therefore a symbolic evocation of the play: struggles for power, ambitions, illusions, new perspectives…
The guiding thread is carried by a magnificent trio of circus women, embodying the three witches.
