Deep within the earth lies a civilization that has never seen the sun. Living at the heart of a bottomless mine, the small community works day and night to extract flecks of gold and light from the depths. Tirelessly, they toil in dusty tunnels with no desire to go outside—why would the outside be any better? The mine is their home; it’s all they know. The canary sings, the wheel turns, the charcoal rises, the cart descends. Yet Icarus dreams of more. With his gaze turned upward, he seeks the sun. Like a bird in a cage, he tries to escape using clever strategies. Will he manage to find the way out?
After long months trapped in our own darkness, Charcoal invites us to reach toward the light: to dare to dream and soar into an adventure full of sun and possibilities. Join Icarus, Aurora, Daedalus, and their companions for a journey filled with emotion, surprises, and magic.
